So Glad i found Ganpat instead of using a UK tour operator

When looking to go to India we wanted to find a guide that would show us the real India and not just the touristy routes. I did a lot of research on UK tour providers and 1. They were so expensive and 2. they were to touristy for us. I started looking on trip advisor and incredible tours to India kept popping up, I emailed Ganpat to see what he could do for us. He replied very quickly with an itinerary and options of hotels, there were a few things on it we didn’t want to do and a few things we wanted to add, the elephant bear and rescue centre & Safari for example. Again Ganpat very quickly replied with a revised itinerary. Once we were happy we went ahead and booked our tour. We had to pay 40% up front to secure hotels/internal flights and then balance would be paid half way through the tour. I had never booked anything through someone I had found on trip advisor before so I was a bit sceptical but still went ahead and paid the deposit.

There was absolutely no need to be sceptical. Everything about our tour went smoothly and exactly how it was planned. Our driver Vikram met us 9am the day after we arrived in Delhi, he speaks good English and is lovely, as he said, driving in India is a style there is no system and he certainly knows the style very well! We had fresh bottles of water in the car every morning and plenty throughout the trip. He is also happy to take you wherever you need to go even if it is slightly off the itinerary. On one of our “relax days” we wanted to do some local shopping and get a massage so he took us to the best places to make sure we were looked after and not ripped off.

All of our local guides were very good, very good English, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Imran Ali in Agra was VERY good, he took us to the Taj Mahal and on top of him knowing all the history and facts he knew all the best places to view the Taj and take the best pictures. He also showed us a few good restaurants as he knew the hotel would be expensive. Once we picked where we wanted to go he came in with us helped us order and recommended good dishes once we ordered he left us to eat and then came back 20 minutes later to take us to our hotel – I was very impressed with him. Also Suresh Kumar in Jhodpur. After showing us the Mehrangara Fort he took us off the tourist track and through the local streets to show us some traditional Indian homes and get a glimpse of their day to day lives.

Half way through the tour we were invited to Ganpats home for dinner, cooked by his lovely wife and met his 4 lovely children. The dinner was incredible and afterwards his wife made me an Indian outfit. The whole family are so friendly and made us feel so welcome, this was one of my best days.

To sum up, I’m SO glad I found Ganpat & Incredible tours to India, I believe we saw more of the real India than we would have with a big UK your operator and it cost us half the price of one too. If you want an amazing private tour of India with good guides and a fantastic driver go with Ganpat.
